Pocket PenMap is a full functioned but easy-to-use data logging software application for the Surveying and GIS professional.
The system has been designed to work in a fully graphical interface yet still contains all of the methodology and techniques required for modern surveying. Pocket PenMap is also a package that everyone can pick up and make a map with a bare minimum of training.
Transfer to a wide variety of CAD and GIS packages, AutoCAD, Micro station, Arc View, Arc Info, and MapInfo are all supported, or just print your plans and maps on a wide variety of Printers and Plotters.
Although Pocket PenMap uses precision surveying and measuring techniques to achieve high data quality, it does so with a very simple and intuitive interface that anyone can use.
Pocket PenMap maintains the quality of your work. While CAD systems are all about coordinates (X, Y, Z), surveying is all about measurements. Pocket PenMap stores all of your surveying and measurement data, not just the coordinates, so that you always have a complete record of your work.
Pocket PenMap directly controls all of your survey equipment. It is the only software needed for direct communication with most popular GPS and Laser equipment. This includes equipment from Sokkia, Leica, Trimble, Topcon, Thales
There are two main components to the system, the 'Field Component' and the 'Office Component'. The Field Component is a WindowsCE application which runs on a handheld computer and performs all of the data collection tasks. The Office Component is a standard desktop Windows (95, 98, NT, 2000 or XP) application which reads data created by the Field Component. Once read the Office component is used to print and export the data in a variety of formats. FEATURES
