The PenMap SunScreen is a sunlight readable display which can be connected directly to most computers. It is designed for outdoor portable applications where conventional laptop displays are unusable.
The SunScreen produces vibrant colours and excellent contrast even with direct sunlight onto the screen. A pen interface allows the SunScreen to be used as a touch screen.
Connect the SunScreen directly to the monitor port of a laptop computer. The pen interface acts the same as a Microsoft Mouse connected directly to the serial port. Power is provided through its own separate battery. The unit has been designed for the very low power requirements of portable applications. The SunScreen can be used in a wide variety of ways for a vast number of different applications. Most commonly it is connected to a small micro-laptop housed in a backpack, on a belt, or car mounted. The casing and shell of the system are both water resistant and rugged.
